Forty-two rooms across two joined townhouses, no two quite alike, and none of them facing a lift shaft.
Grandstay Hotel keeps its rooms named by type rather than number of stars, since the two townhouses were never built to a single plan and a few rooms still show it — a step down into the bathroom in one, a window seat cut into the thickness of the wall in another. Sash windows have been kept and draught-proofed throughout; air conditioning was fitted discreetly in 2019. Every room has a kettle with a small selection of teas, a safe sized for a laptop, and blackout linings behind the curtains for anyone on a different time zone.
